Scan Transparencies, Slides and NegativesScanning is a process which "digitizes" hard copy media, meaning that the color and pattern of a photo or slide is converted to pixels or small dots of information that combine to create images capable of being viewed by the computer. Since a scan may be altered by changing pixel information there is an added fee for this type of post-scanning pixel manipulation. Photo touch-up and alteration can be used to create the design or photo content desired by the client. TekBoys is also proud to offer the ability to scan slides and transparencies used by the traditional advertising agencies for creating magazine quality advertisements. These transparent images are very delicate, have large pixel information (size) when scanned and create high quality images. Utilizing this artwork that is usually already owned by the client, decreases the cost of development. The scanned images can then also be used to send to potential clients as e-mail attachments. This is extremely helpful to clients that desire to send photos of their products to potential clients via e-mail. (There are software companies that make e-mail mass mailing programs, so that you can send pictures of your products via e-mail to thousands of potential buyers within your particular business with the touch of a button.) Web Site Computer ProgrammingTekBoys will program the HTML (Hyper-Text Mark-Up Language) required for Internet web pages with the understanding that not all computers will view the web site with the same browser. (Many designers make the mistake of designing elaborate page content that appear very messy unless viewed by the newest computer with the newest browser.) Interactive pages may require scripting within the service providers computer arena and therefore are subject to the client's ISP (Internet Service Provider) billing scheme. Web Site DesignTekBoys will design web pages with your involvement. Our designing capabilities are generated with your ideas as the basic underlying focus. If our client desires, we will come to their place of business with our laptop and discuss strategies, view competitor web sites, and decide on the proper web site design with the input of the client. Once the web site has begun to take shape, we will contact the client and review the site to assure proper design of the site. No web site will be marketed to the Internet before being finally approved by the client. TekBoys will charge an hourly rate for graphic design or will provide an estimate if the Client wants to create a specific design which they desire to own the copyright. Cost Of Web Site DevelopmentThe hourly rate charged for graphic design, web site development including content/layout, HTML programming, and scanning is $50.00/hr. Web sites development begins with an initial meeting, which is free, and allows the client and the TekBoy representative the opportunity to develop an understanding of what the client desires. The next step involves TekBoys supplying the client with a detailed cost breakdown for the desired web site. This will include a final estimate for the entire web site development.
